321 is all about design and by this very nature Gretha is keen to showcase local designers and allow them the opportunity to pout into their own ‘words’ what 321 water means to them.
The first design for the 321 Replacement filters box comes from Tim Fleming of Flatland OK.
Tim wanted to create a design that was simple, strong and open to suggestion, he wanted people to interpret it the way they want to.
A bit about Tim
Well, i went to art school then started playing with sculpture. After a while a decided that I needed to make a living and so started Flatland. I need to work outside the normal structure of a job and wanted to have total creative control. Flatland is actually a book, written in 1860 by Edwin Abbott. It’s all about the main character, a square which goes on adventures into other dimensions. My work looks at the idea of flat, layers, layering, extruding and developing ideas spatially.

In 2003 "the Founder" had a thought that was something like "I don't want much...just a few good things"
Like so many things Flatland OK arrived in a dream and the next morning the "Charter was drawn" to provide objects of the highest standard in the most ethical way. There is no other way.
